Columbus Eagles Booster Club
Club Overview
The Eagles Booster Club promotes athletic excellence, sportsmanship, and personal integrity among Eagles team athletes and supports Team Eagles - both in and out of the pool. The Eagles Booster provides a major source of funding for Columbus Eagles swimmers, focuses on helping to find corporate sponsorships and supports the swimmers training and swim meet needs. In addition the Club sponsors a number of programs to build community support of swimming and recognition for the team. The Eagles Booster Club looks to create a loyalty among Eagles alumni and friends of the team. Programs sponsored by the club include:
1. Free annual summer Stroke Clinics for local area swimmers
3. The annual spring recognition and year-end banquet for outstanding achievement by our athletes
4. An annual fundraiser
The club has nearly 30 members, comprised principally of swim team families from across the greater Columbus area. We encourage corporate sponsors and friends of the Eagles Team to participate.
The Eagles Booster Club is administered by an “advisory” board of directors, and lead by team founder and Head Coach, Sam Fattah. The advisory board is comprised of key volunteers who hold positions of responsibility in assisting in the administration and running of the team. Also supporting the club's operations are all the parents of the swimmers.
Membership in the Eagles Club is free, however we ask members to assist in several ways:
1. Participating in our annual fundraising events
2. Being part of an annual event, sponsored by the club
3. Participating on a committee
Reasons to support the EAGLES Booster Club:
Assisting to maintain a strong athletic program
1. With costs of running a swim team increasing, additional support is necessary to maintain a team.
2. Club funds help to provide the best physical resources, training equipment and provide team members with apparel and meet “Goodie” bags for State meets.
3. Team Eagles athletic success is dependent on it’s ability to recruit swimmers to maintain the numbers necessary to have a program. The EAGLES Booster provides help to provide a friendly, team/family centric environment the essential when recruiting new families into the Eagles Swim Team.
4. A strong team program provides opportunities for talented young swimmers to develop their full potential.
5. A winning athletic program brings positive state and national recognition to Team EagleS and enhances its operational success.
